Expanding My Boundaries & Enjoying New Edges

What do you do when you realize that your yoga practice has opened your awareness to new possibilities for your body and your life, when your body is crying out to try new edges? And you become aware of how that little voice is screaming, "Take that big step cause you are ready!"

If you are like me, you realize that the philosophy workshop with Douglas Brooks, Mitchel and Sianna has your name on it. There is no doubt that the universe will get you there even though it's fairly short notice and two time zones away.

You make some calls and everything flows quickly, like all gates opening.


So it was set to go if I chose to. I examined my sack of old fears to take along for transformation: fear of heights, of a week with seventy people I've never met, of re-injuring my back after surgery years ago, of not being good enough for this group.in short a large sack. Yet I knew I was also holding grace and a set of powerful thoughts which reminds me of the beauty I offer, my inner strength and determination, and my possibilities in embracing the unknown. So I chose in my heart and I ended up at Inner Harmony. My intention was clear:

Cleansing during Retreat

Lynne and I were talking with one of our presenters when we learned that they had started a cleansing program by Isagenix and that her husband had lost 25 pounds in 60 days. Dr Carboni had advised them with the program so I asked for her phone number and got the details on the program from her and placed my order. My thought was that if her husband can lose 25 pounds in 60 days then so could I.

I weighted in at 205 pounds and 31% body fat and wanted to get down to at least 175 pounds and thought it a worthwhile goal while secretly wanting to get down to my marathon running weight of 165 pounds (I really assumed this was out of reach). Well after 60 days on the program my weight was 168 and my body fat was 18%. I couldn‚t believe how easy it was and I am not thru yet. I’m at 165 lbs now and have hit 161.5 and 16% body fat. The 165lbs seems to work well for me and is the weight I wish to maintain.

During the program I have had increased energy, felt mentally sharper and 15 to 20 years younger; as it was 1985 when I stopped running and my weight slowly increased.

I have met Dr Jacquie in person this summer during one of our retreats and participated with everyone in the Isagenix program. It was so successful the she has agreed to come back again for another retreat. This time with Jenny Otto-Stewart and Lynn Matthews.
